The Town accessed $40,000 of its municipal discretionary funding through from the Columbia Gas funding that the region has available to it, to stand up a restaurant food preparation program, where North Andover restaurants will be paid to prepare meals that will then be distributed by the YMCA of Andover/North Andover, to food insecure individuals and families.
They're still distributing free PPE (masks and hand sanitizer) to local businesses in North Andover, which was funded from the Coalition's Innovation Fund.
They're also in the middle of a grant round ($150,000), made possible by the municipal discretionary fund, for local small businesses where they're focusing on supporting restaurants, personal services businesses, auto repair/service businesses, and retail establishments.
